Student learner Onboarding Process

 
Step 1: Starting a Placement
  • Once your placement is confirmed you will receive a welcome package. Ensure that you have completed all the steps at least 2 weeks before your placement. It is encouraged to submit these documents as soon as possible to allow for approval and time to mitigate any potential issues that may arise.
  • Vaccinations are non-negotiable and you must attest to completing the mandatory requirements prior to your start date. Note that some vaccinations or tests (such as TB skin tests) take time to organize.
  • Ensure that you connect with your preceptor prior to your first day to understand dress code, materials needed, suggested and/or required reading, meeting place for day one, etc.
Step 2: Prior to First Day
  • Complete online registration (link will be emailed to you) as soon as possible
  • Complete all online mandatory training modules
  • Ensure that you meet the mandatory vaccination, vulnerable sector screen and N95 mask fit requirements
Step 3: On the First Day
  • Bring your student I.D. and required documents.
  • Meet up at the predetermined location with preceptor or Academic Affairs team member.
  • Ensure you are wearing appropriate clothing and footwear for your first day. There will be a short tour for everyone and you may be starting your placement on that first day.
