Women’s Reproductive Mental Health Program

The Women’s Reproductive Mental Health Program supports individuals experiencing mental health challenges during major reproductive life transitions. For patients under prenatal or postpartum care at Michael Garron Hospital (MGH), the program provides timely, specialized, one-on-one psychiatric care and group therapy to ensure the health and well-being for both parent and family. 

Our dedicated team offers flexible, compassionate and stigma-free care at the hospital or in the community at The Midwives' Clinic of East York-Don Mills. 

SERVICES 

Prenatal 

  • One-on-one psychiatric consultations 
  • Pre-birth planning and preparation for individuals with or without a history of postpartum depression or anxiety 

Postpartum 

  • Group therapy, including postpartum Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) groups 

REFERRALS 

Referrals can be made for individuals who are pregnant, postpartum, or experiencing reproductive life transitions (including perimenopause) who meet the following criteria: 

Pregnant or postpartum individuals
