Why choose an obstetrician to care for me during pregnancy and delivery?

  • Obstetricians are highly skilled and trained to provide comprehensive care during pregnancy and post-partum. This includes medical expertise for pregnancies that range from low- to high-risk. Some pregnancies begin as low-risk, but develop issues that bring the pregnancy to a higher-risk. Obstetricians are well equipped to manage additional medical interventions as needed.
  • Obstetricians are experts in managing pre-existing conditions and other pregnancy complications.
  • Obstetricians facilitate vaginal births and perform c-sections (both scheduled and unexpected).
