Colposcopy Clinic

The Colposcopy Clinic serves individuals aged 25 and older who have received abnormal cervical screening (HPV / pap) results and/or have an abnormal appearance of their cervix or genitalia that require further examination. The clinic is part of the Surgical Gynaecology Program.

What is colposcopy? 

Colposcopy is a procedure which allows healthcare providers to closely examine the vagina, cervix and vulva. This is done using a special microscope. 

Who will I see in the clinic? 

Clinic patients are seen by a gynecologist who has received specialized training. They are also seen by a nurse and/or other clerical staff. 

How can I get an appointment? 

Patients must be referred to the clinic by their primary care provider (e.g. family physician and/or nurse practitioner) or a gynecologist.
