As of Monday, January 23, 2023, Michael Garron Hospital Ophthalmology has changed its name to the Eye Clinic and has moved to T1 in the new Ken and Marilyn Thomson Patient Care Centre. The Thomson Centre is located on MGH’s campus at the corner of Coxwell and Sammon Avenues.
The department of ophthalmology at Michael Garron Hospital (MGH) is the leading community-based provider of medical and surgical eye care in the greater Toronto area.
With over 3,000 cataract surgeries performed each year in our safe and modern operating suites, the department is committed to providing excellent surgical care. In addition, our ophthalmologists provide timely, comprehensive clinical care to inpatients and to our community through the out-patient ophthalmology clinic.
Referrals are accepted from medical doctors and optometrists and can be forwarded directly to individual offices. We look forward to being of assistance in managing the eye care needs of our community.
