Michael Garron Hospital (MGH) is committed to providing barrier-free access for all persons to its environments, programs and services. We are continually working to make our space more accessible and have embarked on a multi-year redevelopment project that will modernize our physical space to meet and exceed the accessibility requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and its Regulations including the Accessibility Standards for Customer Service.
MGH’s Accessibility Plan demonstrates our commitment and continuing efforts to eliminate accessibility barriers.
Designated parking spaces for persons with disabilities are available in the Thomson Centre Underground Parking Garage (entrance on Sammon Ave. east of Coxwell Ave.) and in the short-term Emergency Parking Lot off Mortimer Avenue. The Sammon Avenue entrance also serves as a ‘drop off’ zone however parking in this zone is not permitted.
All wings at the hospital are equipped with elevators.
Accessible washrooms are located throughout the Hospital. First floor accessible washroom locations include:
G Wing
H & K Wings
J Wing
T Zone (Ken and Marilyn Thomson Patient Care Centre)
