Important notice as of September 2, 2026 – Impacts to MGH's Stavro Emergency Department (ED): MGH's ED is currently experiencing flooding due to ongoing inclement weather conditions.

If you are experiencing an urgent but non-life-threatening health issue, we encourage you to consider care options in the community: tehn.ca/PlacesToGetCare.

If you are experiencing a potentially life-threatening issue, please note that our ED remains open and operational. 

We appreciate your kindness and patience as our team does their best to provide urgent care for patients as safely and quickly as possible.  

The entrance on Sammon Avenue between Coxwell Avenue and Knight Street is temporarily closed during construction. Patients and visitors should use the main entrance at 825 Coxwell Avenue to enter and exit the hospital. View our campus map.

Please note the MGH Clinical Assessment Centre’s last day of operation was February 26, 2023. Thank you to our community and health system partners for your support of this site over the past three years.

If you need a COVID-19 test, assessment or treatment, please visit a Clinical Assessment Centre or testing site in Toronto. Assessment and prescriptions for COVID-19 treatment, including the Paxlovid pill, are also available at local pharmacies.
