If your child needs care for an urgent but non-life threatening health issue, we encourage you to review options for care in the community. If you need to come to our Emergency Department, please come prepared by reading the information available on our Emergency Department webpage.

At Michael Garron Hospital (MGH), we understand that caring for a child means caring for the whole family. Our Paediatrics Department provides compassionate neonatal and paediatric care for children from birth to 18 years of age, serving families across East Toronto’s diverse communities. Our team offers a range of supports to help make each visit as comfortable as possible. We practice family-centred care and welcome parents, caregivers and family members as valued partners in their child’s care.

Our experienced team includes paediatricians, neonatologists, nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, social workers, lactation consultants and a Child Life Specialist. We work together with families to understand each child’s unique needs and provide coordinated, comprehensive care.

As an affiliate of the University of Toronto, MGH is a designated training site for paediatric residents and medical students. We also welcome learners in family medicine, nursing and other health disciplines. Through education, research and quality improvement, we continually look for ways to enhance the care and experiences of children and families.
