Overview

Working as a member of the inter-professional team, the Physiotherapist will be responsible for providing assessment, consultation and education to the patient, family members and the interprofessional team within a variety of in-patient units. The succe ssful candidate will participate in program development and evaluation as well as actively participating in regular team meetings, liaising with community based providers, advocating on behalf of clients and their families and participation in inter-prof essional patient and family conferences as needed. The successful candidate may be required to increase hours based on operational needs.

Education

- M.Sc (preferred) in Physiotherapy or equivalent

Qualifications

- Registration and license to practice with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and in good standing
- Recent experience in acute care hospital based medicine and geriatric care preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work and function effectively as an interdisciplinary team member
-Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Motivated to practi ce in accordance with the mission and vision of hospital/health service
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development
- Excellent work performance and attendance
