The Cardiac Centre: Cardiac Function Clinic, previously known as the Heart Function Clinic, is staffed with highly specialized physicians, nurses and pharmacists. The mission of the Heart Function Clinic is to decrease emergency room visits and hospitalizations with close follow-up and the integration of community resources. The vision is to support patients and families through the course of their disease in a high-functioning, holistic setting.
As of Monday, January 23, 2023, Michael Garron Hospital’s Heart Function Clinic has changed its name to Cardiac Centre: Cardiac Function Clinic and has moved to T2 in the new Ken and Marilyn Thomson Patient Care Centre. The Thomson Centre is located on MGH’s campus at the corner of Coxwell and Sammon Avenues.
