Overview

This position is a contract position until March 31, 2023 with possible extension. This role will be responsible the spread and scale of the existing Youth Mental Health and Wellness Hub (Hub) model into the Thorncliffe Park, Flemingdon Park and Taylor M assey communities. Working closely with local providers, community leaders and youth, this role with engage stakeholder to design and project manage the launch of the Hubs, and support broader strategy and implementation of the Child and Youth Mental He alth, Wellness and Substance Use population focus for the East Toronto Health Partners. The role will be employed and hosted by Michael Garron Hospital, on behalf of the East Toronto Health.

Education

- Master’s Degree in health or business administration coupled with 5 plus years related management experience or a combination of equivalent education and experience.

Qualifications

- Strong understanding of the Ontario health care system, youth mental health and wellness, and primary care delivery models.
- Solid understanding of local health issues, priorities and needs in the Thorncliffe Park, Flemingdon Park and Taylor Massey communities preferred.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to build positive working relationships with local health service providers and to influence decision making and adoption of change initiatives required
- Project management expertise with large scale change initiatives and proven ability to support change required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to clearly convey information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner th at engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message required
- Strong planning and organizational skills; and the ability to facilitate meetings
- Able to understand and manage priorities with minimal supervision
- Strong anal ytical, problem solving and decision making skills
- Experience in data analytics, epidemiology and information synthesis; knowledge of health care reporting requirements and funding methodologies, knowledge/familiarity with various databases used to capture information in primary care sector.
- Good work and attendance record is required
