Reporting directly to the IT Project Director - Redevelopment, the Analyst, IT Projects, is responsible for supporting the IT projects for the Marilyn and Ken Thompson Patient Care Tower, scheduled to open in 2022. We a re seeking a creative and innovative individual who can work on initiatives that include providing project management support, process redesign, budget and vendor management, and reporting.

Here are the key responsibilities:
• Assist the IT Project D irector and Project Managers in managing and tracking progress of the IT Redevelopment projects
• Analyze business and operational needs, problems, opportunities, and assist with developing plans for implementation.
• Evaluate and validate potential IT solutions for the Hospital, supporting business case development and return on investment analysis.
• Conduct workflow review and process redesign, and support continuous improvement processes within the portfolio.
• Lead simple to moderately complex projects of small to medium scope and assist in the creation of project documentation.
• Apply change management techniques for effective stakeholder engagement and communications, and implementation support.
• Examine IT policies and procedures, proc esses, service level agreements and advise on areas of improvement.
• Assist with vendor and contract management.
• Assist with project budget management and tracking.
• Develop an adequate level of knowledge of the subject matter and digital system s being managed to effectively move initiatives forward.

Education

• Undergraduate Degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field required.
• Masters’ degree, in a related field, an asset.

Qualifications

• 1 - 3 years of project management, business process/analysis, and data analysis experience or equivalent.
• Sound knowledge of project management (project planning, implementation, evaluation, risk assessment, benefits realization).
• Project Managem ent Professional (PMP), an asset.
• Experience in healthcare IT implementation, IT operational processes, healthcare information systems.
• Knowledge of IT hardware and/or software vendor relations.
• Experience with qualitative and quantitative dataa nalytics and reporting, an asset.
• Experience leading project work streams or small projects independently.
• Experience in leading and conducting workflow analysis, value stream mapping, data mapping, an asset.
• Experience in applying change manage ment methodologies and tools.
• Demonstrated problem definition/resolution, business analysis, and systems analysis skills
• Excellent prioritization, organization skills and flexibility.
• Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
• Excell ent interpersonal (verbal/written) and client relationship skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and also as a contributing team member.
• Demonstra ted proficiency of computer, software, and peripheral equipment (MS Office suite, MS Project, MS Visio).
