Overview

Under the direction of the Diagnostic Imaging Administrative and Medical Directors, the Supervisor, DI is responsible for ensuring patient care services are delivered with high quality, safety and consistency on a daily basis. This is achieved through co ntinuous monitoring to promote care that is patient centered, timely and efficient. The Supervisor enables team members to coordinate and integrate services and encourages ongoing performance improvement. The incumbent maximizes the use of available reso urces to facilitate efficient patient throughput and an optimal patient experience. The Supervisor, Diagnostic Imaging, maintains open lines of communication with the Director/Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, staff in other departments, as well as external referring partners. This role will include maintaining and updating policy and procedure manuals, training material and continuous quality improvements in the Diagnostic Imaging department.
Supervisor, DI is responsible for the development, implementa tion and maintenance of the DI Quality Program. This position will monitor and improve overall compliance of the Quality systems Essentials, including quality assurance in all modalities. Other responsibilities will include the planning, leading, organi zing and supervising the Quality Management Program, which will include a commitment to good professional practice , quality examinations, continuous improvement , and a focus on customer needs.

Education

• Medical radiation technologist (MRTs)
• Strong preference for candidates who have practiced as a front-line CT and/or Radiography Technologist
• Bachelor degree performed; Masters degree an asset
• Certificate or Training in Quality Systems an asse t

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in incremental leadership responsibilities in the field of healthcare
• Demonstrated experience in project management
• Demonstrated leadership in planning and implementing change
• Demonstrated experience in using data to i mprove efficiencies and support patients, teams, and the care process
• Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Standards
• Demonstrated excellence in facilitation, communication , team building and problem solving skills
