Overview

To provide field technical service and support for Security integration in the NPCC and existing facility security systems by performing connectivity and hardware troubleshooting both primarily IP based enterprise video surveillance, access control and s ecurity systems.
Also provide training to staff. Must be willing to learn and participate in training sessions and keep up to date with emerging technologies in the industry related to the project.

Education

- BSc/BA in computer science, computer engineering or relevant field
- CCENT/CCNA qualifications are strongly preferred
- Proven experience as network technician or relevant position
- Good knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and netwo rk technologies
- Hands-on experience with common software and hardware

Qualifications

- A fundamental knowledge of state-of-the-art security technology such as alarm and access control systems, CCTV systems, communications technologies, and general MS software programs.
- Knowledge of enterprise access control systems to include Keysca n Aurora would be an asset.
- Manage assigned project work including scope, schedule, and budget and provide timely and quality milestone reporting
- Excellent personal computing skills to include all office related products and familiarity with spec ialized security applications.
- Ensure that all systems integration and testing is completed by applying the strategy and managing multiple stakeholders across contracts in a complex matrix organisation
- Excellent written and oral communication ski lls.
- Excellent organizational skills, with an emphasis on multi-tasking and rapidly assessing and shifting priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain professional demeanor under very stressful situations.
- Must be self- motivated and consistently show initiative.
- Monitoring the complex wide SMS (alarm monitoring, CCTV monitoring, access control).
- Ensuring that security operations occur consistent with policy and procedures.
- Monitors all SOC systems for funct ionality, status and conducts basic troubleshooting and assessment prior to escalating technical problems.
- Works in conjunction with Technicians and the Manager, Security & Life Safety Services to test and troubleshoot alarm and access control device s and infrastructure to ensure system integrity.
- Issue Work Orders for reported building safety hazards and deficiencies, and other work requests as needed.
- Working in an enclosed and restricted access environment.
- Frequent use of computers a nd looking at computer monitors.
