The goals of Michael Garron Hospital's (MGH) depression group are to help individuals struggling with depression to develop an understanding about their depression, skills to cope with their depression and a relapse prevention plan. Group sessions are held once a week for one and a half hours, the program is anywhere from 10 to 12 weeks in length. Priority is given to MGH clients followed in the outpatient mental health services.
